tips for worm and dry skiing

You're heading for the snow ski slopes this season. You know it's going to be cold, and maybe wet as well, but you just don't know how to dress yourself?Don't panic,My snow ski knowledge is here to help you.

Here's few tips for dressing for snow skiing that maximize the chances of staying dry and warm on the snow. Follow each tip and you should stay dry and warm.Soon, you will be looking for more snow ski days.

Dress in layers.

It's not all about jackets and snow ski pants. If you wanna to stay warm you should consider wearing a snow ski thermal "underwear". For staying warm it's more important what you wearing under the snow ski jacket.Get good quality thermal underwear and a great synthetic fleece to go under that ski jacket and pants, and you'll be set to be out on the snow on the coldest of days. Ignore the snow ski underwear and you may not.

Avoid any natural fibers for skiing

Cotton and woll are great, and people uses them in skiing. This is because they were the best available years ago. But,they are not good as new high-tech synthetic fibers .

Cotton and wool are apsorbing sweat.

Cotton next to your skin will absorb your sweat and so leave you feeling chilled and damp. A high quality synthetic fabric is designed to wick moisture away from your skin and encourage the moisture to travel to the next layer. This is what is known as "breathing". The fabric allows the moisture generated by sweat and exercise to pass through the fabric, and the fabric doesn't trap the moisture and become damp.A natural fabric can not do this, and will get damp over time.

Use high quality synthetic fabrics. You probably heard for Gore-Tex.It's a high quality fabric that helps you to stay worm and dry on all weather conditions.Of course ,sometimes they are very expensive, but you know that you buying something quality .

That's because the high quality fabrics will last much longer than cheap copies, so although you are paying more initially you are buying snow ski wear that will outlive the cheaper ski clothing.

Buy a known brand name. There are some very well known brand names in the ski clothing industry. Names that are well known amongst skiers for the quality of their ski gear, and with a solid reputation to protect. You can't do anything wrong if you buy expensive brand-name ski equipement .Its payoff after some time.

Dont forget to dry everything what is wet. Many skiers have wet snow ski boots, but they dont know that at all. When you come into your hotel room dry your boots,handgloves,socks....

If your handgloves are dry and you're still felling cold, you sholud buy more quality handgloves(Mammut handgloves are excellent)

Dont forget to drink liquid.Best case scenario is that you have little bottle with water(not soda, not anything alcoholic) in your pocket. When you're skiing you should drink every 15-20 minutes.

Stick to those few tips and you'll be learning to ski like the best of them when

others are back inside cold and damp. It may be a little more expensive following some of those tips, but over time the expense will pay for itself, and of course there are always places online where you can buy high quality ski clothing at a discount. But if you go cheap and poor quality you will regret it one day. I promise.

How to choose right skis???

Choosing right skis is not easy. Most of people don't know how to choose right skis for his level of snow ski knowledge.
If you don't have right equipment you might be frustrated and angry while others enjoying in benefits of snow ski sports.

Skis were originally made of wood, but very little wood is used in modern skis.
The most common materials are fibreglass and aluminum.

.

Ski stiffness, lenght, radius, and material are the most important factor if you want to choose right skis

Longest skis are faster and more stable on the high speeds, and short skis are slower and more stable on low speeds
Skis must be flexible and strong.
When you buying skis, you must buy carving skis.
Carving skis are the latestgeneration of skis. They are narrow in the boot area, and that helps you to make fast turns.

Finally length of your skis is determined by your height and weight.

Ideally, the length of ski, based on your weight, should looks like this

  • Less than 110 lbs 140cm
  • 110-124 lbs 145cm
  • 125-137 lbs 150cm
  • 138-149 lbs 155cm
  • 150-164 lbs 160cm
  • 165-179 lbs 165cm
  • 180 or more lbs 170cm

If you are an intermediate level skier, you should add 5-7-10cm to the recommendation above, and if you are an expert skier, you should add an additional 10-15-20cm to the recommendation.

Your ski knowledge is the most important factor if you want to choose right skis

If you are ski beginner, you should choose short "slalom" skis, with small radius and small stiffness.
Short skis with small radius are easily to turn-that is very important for beginners,
and they offers great stability at low speeds.
Beginners skis are not stiff, so they also offer greater manoeuvrability
Short skis are light, witch makes them easily to carry

Intermediate level skier can choose short or longer skis, with largest radius, and greater stiffness
Longer skis are faster, usually stiffer than short skis, and more stable at the high speeds,
but important to know is that longer skis are less stable at low speeds and in turnings.I think that best skis for intermediate level skier are high quality-all-around skis.
Those skis are good for in all snow conditions.Still, there is a big diffrence between intermediate and expert skier skis,
intermediate level skier skis are more "all around" and they not handle so well.

Expert skier should choose a professional (racing) skis.
Those are short skis with longer radius than other short skis,
Expert skier skis must be extremly stiff and aggressive. They are also must to handle excellent, like all professioanal skis.
Expert skier are stable on any skis.
Expert skier can also choose long and fast "profi" skis with great radius if they want fast run.

Its not easy to choose right skis, any skier fits something diffrent so if you can -
try before you buy!!!

I prefer short skis, and I think that short skis should be anyone's choice, they are eaisier to turn no matter how snow ski skilled you are,
and they are more adjustabe to snow conditions

great sites about this!!!

Hi,I'm Damian and I'm 15 years old. I'm from Croatia.
On
this blog I will write about snow ski sports.
In the past,I was part of Croatian National team in skiing.I have few major accomplishments on national and European level.

I
also have a great knowledge about skiing, and I want to share it with you.
I was started with snow skiing when I was 7.
Soon after,I was join one of the many snow ski clubs in my area, and I started my professional ski racing career. For all people from Croatia skiing is a very hard and expensive sport, because you have to practice in foreign countries. So I skipped classes every few weeks to practice skiing.
All my hardwork finally paid off when
I win 2nd place in country. After that I win many more podiums, and I was started to ski on international races.

My best international result is 11th place in giant slalom on
Pokal Loka-one of the most important international ski races for the juvenile ski racers.
My last international race was on Whistler cup in Canada
.
Whistler Cup
is an international ski event organized by the Whistler Ski Club and hosted by Whistler-Blackcomb.->->->->(great place to ski :):):)
Having completed its 16th year, Whistler Cup has grown to become the largest and most important ski race in North America, and internationally.

I ski on the
Atomic skis, and Atomic boots. In the past I've used Rossignol,Dynastar, and Salamon(also great equipment),but I think that for racers Atomic equipment is the best equpment.
I'm big fan of all snow ski sports, especially freestyle skiing and ski acrobation.

Why Am I doing this?

Like I sad, I have big knowledge about snow sports, especially skiing.
I'm doing this because I want to give you all tips&tricks that I know for pleasant and comfortable snow skiing, and I also want to share some "insider"secrets with you.

I will also write reviews of ski equipment and ski places
in North America and Europe.
I visited many many ski places and tried even more professional equipment so I know what I talking about.
